My apologies for my stupid slip up, your lordship! Until I was almost 50, I hated being called Anthony, so I get it! I've been feeling really tired the last couple of days. Perhaps, some lingering post covid fatigue, though I thought I was pretty much past that!

Regarding the child in blackface from SPANKY (1932), on the recently released Little Rascals Complete Blu-ray set by ClassicFlix (Which comes with my highest recommendation!), I did recently view both READIN' AND WRITIN' (1932) and SPANKY (1932), which I believe were both filmed in late 1931, which was just about a year before Tommy Bond recalled having arrived in Hollywood. When I saw the child in blackface, my first thought was "Oh, there's the kid from Readin' And Writin' (Who is listed as Bobbie in your UNIDENTIFIED CAST) who says to Miss Crabtree "I don't think you can do it!" He and Tommy Bond did have very similar Buster Brown hairdos, which I suspect has led to some confusion. When in doubt, I look at the eyes, which I find often tend to be the most revealing. When I look at the child in blackface's eyes in "Spanky," I see "Bobbie" from "Readin," not Tommy Bond, whose eyes are very different. Take that as you will, and I respectfully understand this might be an agree to disagree scenario.

CHEERS! (From an overcast morning in "The Forest City!")

Tony
