First off, a correction for Dave: his character in ONE TERRIBLE DAY, if his character is indeed Jackie's brother, is actually older than Jackie, not younger. I think you misread that part of his character description on TLC's page.
And now, some sadness...
born: 14 January 1911
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
died: 27 August 1943
New Delhi, India
(plane crash, age 32)
Real name: Louis Richard Conway Cartwright
By August 1943, Squadron Leader L. R. C. Cartwright had been the "censorship adviser to the R.A.F. India command" for the previous year, having come there "from a censorship post in the Air Ministry, London." Tragedy came late in that month, when 32-year old Sqdn. Ldr. Cartwright was among 10 people "killed in the crash of an R.A.F. transport plane at Allahabad [on the 27th] . . ." He is buried at the Delhi War Cemetery in New Delhi, India.
His headstone and at least one news article on his demise give his age as 33, but earlier records such as the 1911 Canada Census confirm his age was, in fact, 32.
