Was a close friend of Thelma Todd, with the latter even attending Courtney's wedding.

The commonly given birth date of 12 March 1908 is somewhat understandable, as it's what Inez herself claimed in publicity and on least one 1934 passenger list, at least during her Hollywood years - in effect, shaving 10 years and 5 months off of her true age.
Earlier records reveal a c. 1898-99 date. 12 October 1897 is given in the trustworthy Social Security Death Index, while "Oct. 12, ?" is given on a 1948 passenger list; a false "37" is handwritten in the age column.

Typo: "Reh-headed" = "Red-headed." Although, more accurately, auburn-haired... and green-eyed.
