The crown is not guaranteed to them just because they were former OT's, or becuase their talent is better than others. Obviously talent was not a huge concern with Arizona, and other states this year. Maybe MAO will make talent less points here in the future. | |

WE don't know what happens in that first initial interview, that is where the girls really make their first impressions on the judges and really sell themselves for this job. Hannah was fantastic and had the best gown and body (in my opinion) of the pageant. Yuma had a great gown and talent. I think this year taught a valuable lesson to veterans that just because you have done well before does not mean you will do well again. Love the results. I love to see nice girls do well. |

Author: highly doubt new director said "no returners" [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 11:03:56 07/01/14 Tue Then on finals night if you aren't already in the top 5 in the judges' minds they are only going to score you a 6 or a 7 in every area of competition on Saturday night in order to ensure the top 5 girls they want on the ballot get on the ballot. Composite scoring and top 10 discussion changes everything |
| [> [> [> Subject: I am SURE she did not say no returners... Let's face it, the returners simply did not earn their spot in the Top 5. | |

| [> [> [> [> Subject: I am still unsure of new directors but I dont think that she would express that she wanted no returners to win. I honestly think that the top 5 girls just stood out more to the judges than the other 5. If it were a completely different panel of judges, those top 5 may not have even been in top 5, it all boils down to the judges. I know we all have out personal opinions, but all this gripping about it is not going to change the outcome. Yes, it is shocking, but the judges saw something in Alexa. | |

| [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Im sure it does as it does with others. But it was clear that they had more of a lasting impression on the judges in order for them to score higher to get that top 5. We do not know what went on in that interview room. | |

| [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I was surprised too but when you think about it, it's really not that surprising. Haley is beautiful, had a stunning dress and great talent. Lauren just looks like a bombshell on stage. Hannah was consistently good in the whole competition. And Rachael is stellar in everything (except maybe talent). | |
