The reason the MAC is happy with Philly/Temple for football is it gves them more TV eyeballs for their league TV package. Attendance is secondary to gaining a top media market - it allows them to charge more for thier commercials and get higher rights fees from TV networks. Personally, I thik Temple would be well-suited to drop to 1-AA and join the CAA Football League. (NT) Rambacker 14:05:42 05/16/05 Mon

Re: Update: Cleveland Plain Dealer says that in addition to football, TU will have a 45-game scheduling arrangement for Men's BB and other sports over the next four years. Temple will never join the MAC in anything other than football. They need a place to park their football program before they ultimately drop to the CAA football level(my prediction) and 1-AA. I think they will eventually join the CAA Football League but they will stay in the A-10 for other sports. (NT) -- Rambacker, 23:03:52 05/18/05 Wed
