Holy Cross beat Army. Lafayette played Army a few times the past 10 years. Even if Navy, Duke or Temple would be a challenge, play them. How about James Madison which played W. Va. UMass which played B.C.. (Rhode Island beat UMass, by the way.) Maine which beat Miss.St. Look at the "pushovers" the Big 10 powers schedule in the first weeks of the season. I'm not suggesting Big 10 opponents but what about a Duke, a Virginia, even a Buffalo or New Hampshire. Teams like Duquesne, Albany or C.W.Post are not the way. If we beat them, it was expected. James Madison, UMass, Maine and URI are all full scholarship 1-AA teams. Holy Cross beat Army at the cadet's nadir. Without schollies, we run the risk of injury and not being able to fully recover for the following week's game. That's not worth it for us.
