Subject: It's very frustrating that they are not the most proactive bunch, but I'm thankful they sporadically have the good sense to occasionally act on good advice when they see it here. It could be worse - they could refuse to do anything mentioned here, or they could even do the exact opposite, because they don't want to be seen as reactive to a message board.

In reply to: toby 's message, "What is most frustrating with the department is they are reactionary to what is stated on this board. If only they individuals who were hired to do their job created and provided the necessary communication structure for the public they would receive compliments. They just do not know how to think outside the box." on 09:14:43 04/20/05 Wed

I agree with your assesment damnRam, but on the other hand, these individuals are paid to do a job. Specifically, create a unified marketing plan on athletics, provide information on upcoming events, current projects, awards etc. and usually do not handle it without our input from this board. I certainly would not have a job if someone had to constantly inform me of the tasks I need to complete. Where are the checks and balances? (NT)toby15:58:08 04/22/05 Fri
