As an avid Fordham Basketball fan for 51 years, I received a great deal of information and enjoyment from it and it kept the dream alive all year long. So to Andres, I want to say THANK YOU very much for your dedication and patience under some very trying circumstances. You provided true pleasure for many Fordham Hoops fans. As a footnote to Rambacker, whose contributions were very much appreciated, regardless of source, and any other poster, who may be the object of a personal attack on this board, the most effective way to respond is to not respond. As hard as it may be, turn the other cheek. Once the attacker gets a rise out of you, he/she has already won. Such people can't stand to be ignored and when they are, they will eventually go away. When the moderator sees such an attack, he will delete it. There is no need to turn this type of board into a war zone. Andres, many thanks again and all the best with whatever you do. Subject Author Date I emailed my own appreciation to Andres, but join your public sentiment. The BB board was a fun, literate place. It's deplorable that a few morons finally exhausted Ace93's patience, but I understand how he feels. It's ironic that, as we look forward to our most promising year in over a decade, Fordham hoops is -- for now, at least -- without a discussion forum. Those of us who posted there -- and football board posters who've had to put up with much of the same nonsense -- should use this hiatus to give some thought as to how a better (perhaps password-enabled) board can be set up. It has been a great source of information; a place to celebrate victories and, far too often, lament losses. I certainly can understand ace's frustration - I'm amazed he could put up with it as long as he did - and personally want to thank him for his efforts.
