Subject: Old Stadium Pland

Years ago there were plans discussed to move the baseball field onto one of the parking lots and build a multi-level parking facility on the remaining parking spot, thus clearing the way for a true football "stadium" to be built ... or at least something with stands on the visitors side.

Does anyone know whatever happened to those plans and if there is any chance they'll ever be revived? Any thoughts on it would be appreciated.

Gracias

The multi-level parking structure supposedly will be done, however, I do not think there is a plan for a different baseball field. As I recall, all the necessary approvals were secured for the lot but the timing was poor i.e., multiple semesters would have been impacted so the plan was temporarily deferred. Do not know whether the lot is being rethought as part of the strategic plan being developed. IMO it should be, however, there usually is a time frame to use approvals which may be expiring.
