Apparently the lady FU appointed to oversee the development of a strategic plan is a fast worker. See today's NY Times, lead story in Metro Section. FU unveiled plans to incease Licon Center by 2.378 million square feet. The first phase is billed at $300,000,000. Second phase to be finished by 2035. Partail funding through sell off or lease of property.

Who is kidding who. We on this board are concerned about a new gym, visitor stands for fball, student center etc. and are told that a "strategic plan" will be developed that will address athletics. What BS.

This Lincoln Center expansion is necessary. Fordham Law is the 15th most selective law school in the country. Measured by almost all criteria, it is a top 20 school. But US News ranks the school 34th, largely due to facilities. We have a poor "student to square foot ratio." Space is so cramped that the law school's clinical program operates from leased space near Columbus Circle. We need a state-of-the facility. This will place Fordham among the nation's best law schools, which in turn will help move the university as a whole to the forefront of higher education. (NT)JoltinJoe08:54:37 02/23/05 Wed

The strategic plan will address the future of athletics at Fordham and will be released in October or November of this year. Some of the elements of the plan are completed, the Lincoln Center phase is a priority and this expansion has been discussed and worked on for over 5-6 years. I think we'll be generally pleased when the plan is released as it pertains to athletics. Be patient, athletics is not the number one priority at Fordham right now.
