Thomas, you might be interested to know that Professional astronomers have much the same view as Prof. Nerode's when it comes to Vedic astronomy, namely, that it is of some historic interest but of scant pedagogical or scientific value. (I confirmed this when I researched Yukteswar's 24K-yr binary companion hypothesis, the results of which are reposted below, in response to the "Bynary star" [sic] poster.)
