well, I think that Salma looked one of the best in the pics from the rehearsals! very beautiful as usual! The reason why she was wearing heavy make-up is that some of the girls took their full-figure pictures on that day and she was one of them. About the height, she is 168cm. I think. However, this does not mean she can not win!!! last year Miss Mexico was 166cm and became the 3rd Runner- Up in Miss Universe. and I think Salma has the right qualities for that! -- Pantene Miss Egypt 2005

Yes most of the girls in the competition with better figures are the shoter girls. It doesnt away from tall girls, but ideal height is always best under 170 is fine at world competitions as long as their looks are good enough for competition and their performance.
