Well...time is running ..and i think Elham is preparing for Miss Earth...with her amazing pictures....I think Elham is our hi hope this year to do something for Egypt...her age/self confidence/personality all along with her face and body putting her on the right track to make a score for Egypt...she is qualified enough ....for this....if she didnt do anything!!!!!!! i think we have to reconsider our participation in these competitions.

I just want say im happy for elham in representing Egypt in miss earth a very good choice i like elham she's beatiful & smart girl

& I hope the miss Egypt org are starting to prepare her for miss earth & I dont know but can u tell us fan man if there is any information about her gown & custom & if there is any preperation for it

I have few notes I hope that it can be considered
we didn’t see elham in a swim suit so im not sure how fit she is but in the site it said that her weight is 50 KG & that’s perfect but again there should be monitoring for her weight since a lot of the activities in miss earth the contestants will be in there swim suit

elham had an oily face in the miss Egypt final night I don’t know if it was natural or due to anxiety
and she also have a beautiful long hair witch will need a lot of care & attention during activities so she should have a stylish to guid her
also her cat walk just like mariam there both inexperienced with it & need training but mariam didnt have alot of time to be prepared for miss universe

a lot of beautiful girls this year in miss earth so it wont be easy at all & I really think that miss earth is only getting bigger & bigger each year & Egypt is doing a fine job

you would really put into concideration getting meriam to miss earth as she is really beautiful and has a real revealing natural beauty as for the other sorry for saying i saw them personaly in real they are not as beautiful and wouldn't ever be concidered to go to any international pageants .

WELCOME DINNER: Just beautiful! This flower makes you look cuter than you already are! reminds me alot with Miss Universe 1998! I recommend putting it on the final night too! but lose the earings:)

NATIONAL COSTUME: The same costume, except it looks much more interesting here!Maybe because no crown, looks awsem!

This year's contest was won by Natalie Glebova from Toronto, Canada, whose training and preparation included trips to Miami, Colombia, Nicaragua and other regions in Canada.

A special recognition is also in order to Magaly Febles, National Director for the Dominican Republic >>and<< Puerto Rico. Delegates from these nations placed as 2nd and 1st runner-up respectively, a first in the history of beauty pageants.

Congratulations to Denis Davila and the entire 'Beauties of Canada' team for making possible Natalie's victory.

Heba has perfect hight, perfect figure, a perfect model and that shows from how comfortable and super she looks in her pics, and woow she is actually bretty too which is hard to find all of these in one girl.And most important she looks very very egyption, i think we dont need more than international qualification and a national egyption face and look in a girl like that to feel atleast comfortable about how much she will reach in miss universe, and good luck

2005 marks the 55th year of the Miss World competition. Following on from the success of last year's contest in China, we are pleased to be returning to Sanya and to the home of Miss World, the Sheraton Sanya Resort.

Miss World is so much more than a simple beauty contest. It is unique. Through our "Beauty with a Purpose" programme, we have raised over £500 million pounds for children's charities throughout the world. Last year, the China Charity Federation was a major beneficiary of the many activities supported by Miss World and this year we will continue that association along with the charity that Miss World has supported for over 40 years, Variety, The Children's Charity.

Miss World 2005 will bring together contestants from 110 countries, which makes us close to the Olympics in terms of the number of countries represented. The 110 contestants will all bring gifts to be auctioned at a spectacular gala dinner to raise money for charities in China. In addition, each representative will bring a book illustrative of her country. These books from around the world will make up the ‘Miss World library', which will be donated to a school in China.

The major feature of our new TV format is that we now organise not one but eleven major television events during the 3-week event period. Each special programme gives one contestant an opportunity to fast track in to the Miss World Final. The 10 fast track events for 2005 are:

1. Beach Beauty
2. Sport & Fitness
3. Top Fashion Model
4. Performing Talent
5. Contestants' Choice
6. Hospital Beauty
7. Heart of Gold Charitable Queen
8. Sohu's Choice
9. Mount Climbing Beauty
10. CFN 'Chinese Food Network' Beauty

For the first time, Miss World will introduce a cooking competition. The best recipes and presentation will be evaluated by professional chinese chefs, and the winner will fast-track into the finals. This recipe can include pastries, exotic dishes, it's a total celebration of international cuisine.

A panel of judges will select another Top 10 beauties, completing the Top 20 finalists of the 2005 contest.

The 55th Miss World is therefore a celebration of beauty culture, peace and understanding, set against a background of achievement and excellence. It is an example to young women all over the world of what they can accomplish.

The Miss World Organisation is also pleased to announce that SOHU, China’s leading entertainment portal, has signed a 3-year deal with Miss World to be its official web partner in China. This will bring the Miss World brand into millions of Chinese homes. Charles Zhang, Chairman and CEO of SOHU said he was delighted to be involved with the biggest show in the world.

SOHU will soon be announcing their exciting plans for the 55th Miss World.

Miss World is one of the most watched annual entertainment events. Last year 162 nations saw the event with a viewing audience in excess 2.5 billion people. This year the audience will be even bigger.

I am so sorry for your loss, Boudour is beautiful, and the accident is very tragic. Hello, I am a girl living in Spain, I thought this would be a great place to look for a specific Arabic song. I'm not sure what it is called, it is a duet between a sexy guy and a sexy lady, both with really nice tanned skin and dark hair. The lady keeps singing in English "do you like it when I look sexy?" and the guy sings in Arabic and Spanish and raps in English too. I am not sure from where they are singing in the music video, Spain or Morocco or Lebanon or Egypt or Italy or Greece, but the scenery is definitly Mediterranean/Middle Eastern. Anyways, it would be a great help if anyone knew the song title and the singer. Gracias

To those who watched Miss Universe 2005 lately on LBC,
did you notice Billy Bush before the Top15 announcement?
He said:

The Top15 were chosen by a separate panel of judges ALONG WITH THE ORGANIZATION!

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? The Organization chooses them or some of them as was early rumoured? Is that fair?!!!!
It just makes me feel sick seeing the same countries with different girls doing it year after the other,
Im working on a statistical study about it that will show.

well I just watched the pageant on lbc.....and now only I can write what I thinkc about the top fifteen .
first of all.....lbc ignoring miss israel that way was real funny .......IF I didn't knew she was amon the finalists....belieave I wouldn't had recognized her prescence...........but I am a little bit surprised ....coz a few years ago ....miss israel was among the top ten .....lbc telvised the pegeant and they didn't make all these cuts whenever she apeared on tv.do u think that miss israel can win miss universe ????

switzerland ..was totally not deserving to be in the top 10 or even the top 15.......nothing special about her.the same about greece.

T&T....she was among the finalist ....coz there shoul be a black delegate ....and she was the best black one.

proud of miss indonesia that she was among the top 15......someone in her place would really be shaky after all these protests from her country.

liked miss's peru reaction when she was about to slip............another one would lose her confidence the rest of the nigth .....I bet she 's till thinking uptill now wasn't she among the semifinalist because she was about to slip.....

I believe that miss mexico was the most elegant and classy over them all her looks shows elegance and simplicity she deserved to be miss universe.miss canada won by being smart and knowin how to be loved and liked in 2 hours infront of the judges.she is pretty ok but not for A MISS UNIVERSE

I must say that I am baffled. Overall, I think that this year's delegates are weaker than last year's, yet some of this year's delegates are getting SO MUCH UNDESERVING HYPE!

If you have gone to the Global Beauties site, you will notice that Miss Canada has been voted as Miss Photogenic...You will also notice that GB used the evening gown photos for the ladies who placed #2-#5 but Natalie's photo is an air-brushed Fadil Berisha shot that makes her look 1000x better than she really is. Miss Canada's evening gown pic is rather unflattering and shows us the odd shape her face has and that's why GB probably didn't use it.

Did GB base their choices on air-brushed pics or un-touched photos?

Who honestly looks better?

Un-biasly Miss Egypt of course!

I am very puzzled as to how certain delegates get hyped. Is it their looks? I DON'T THINK SO. Just look at GB's Miss Photogenic! Is it the fact their photos are posted online everyday? Maybe their personalities...even though 99.999% of all pageant probably haven't even talked with them to actually know who has a great personality and who doesn't.

The objective of this post isn't to insult Miss Canada at all. It is just to question what makes a delegate "a front runner".

Meriam, to me, is such a natural beauty. With or without make-up she takes my breath away. Her facial features are great looking and the one thing about her that I always see in her pics is CLASS!

I hope Meriam doesn't take things like GB's Miss Photogenic or Top 15 list seriously. I hope she feels proud of how she is representing Egypt and herself.

And if it were up to me, I would hype Miss Egypt and let everyone know that they are missing out big-time.

To Meriam: You deserve that MU crown just as much as anyone else. When the Prelims come, leave the competition in the dust! Show the world that even though the over-hyped girls are favoured, that Miss Egypt is a force to reckon with!

So much has happened since I last checked online...

First and foremost, I am completely shocked by the sad news. My heart almost stopped when I read those words... Boudour was not only one of the most beautiful girls to have competed at Miss Egypt (in my humble opinion), but she also had an unmistakable, glowing energy. She seemed like such a wonderful person, and I only regret we couldn't know more about her. We may have lost her physcially, but her memory will live on forever.

On a different note, I am extremely proud of Meriam. We might complain about the politics/sashes/same-old-story, but at the end of the day, it's not worth the negativity. Meriam did an excellent job representing Egypt; that's all that matters. She showed herself to the Thai people with grace, respect, and charisma. Most importantly, she has helped change the Egyptian stereotypes and pave the way for future girls. I know our time will come soon...
