Hi there!
I am not Egyptian but I adore Egypt and Egyptians very much and always wish the best for them.
About beauty contest, why there is no Mister Egypt contest? I think it would be less controversial than female beauty contest. What do you think. Just to give an Idea for the organizers.
All the best, Desertrose

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: No it is not the same, when Mr. Egypt 1997 was held it faced no complications and no one disagreed about it, but it did not gain much popularity too. However, Face To Face is considering having a casting to choose an Egyptian male representative in MR.World.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: i hope face to face does that, and if a contest is too controversal, they can at least to the contest privately similar to how Mr Lebanon is chosen. I think Egypt has very fine me who could make the rest of the world say 'whoa'.

[> Subject: fan-man, after reading all of this and all the stuff about the Mr. Arab thing, i got an idea. A Mr. Egypt, Mr. Arab is controversial cuz in the MidEast men are judged by means other than beauty. Why can't there be a reality show called "Abou 3yon Jare2a" that judges young handsome men not on beauty, but that tests them in knowledge, sports, communications skills, etc that their couches and voters can choose the winner. Think of it as a mix of Soccastars and Miss Lebanon, just NO catwalks, makeup, designer clothes, stuff you'd find in a Miss competition, or anything against the "Arab values".

Author:
It wont be advertised/considered male beauty pagaent, will test a group of handsome men on what we arabs consider attractive in men. It would be a fun way of determining a Mr. Egypt or a Mr. Arab
