remember the very 'love it or haite it' argument on elhams dress..well obviously they didnt like it!! u guys were supporting the dress so much bcuz u want to support ur winner!!! but comeon..if u saw that dress on another contestant, u would have been going on,on how not nice it is!! plus the first impression always counts...the first impression of most the ppl who saw the dress thought it was ugly, only later on ppl started saying 'oh now i realise how beautiful it is'... but it was only a form of support
but we all know the dress sucked.. compare the dress to meriam's dress, or any other dress wore by any other egyptian winner!
this is one of the msgs posted on miss earth's voyforum :

It heared that rumoured that these are remaining top 20 finishers... 17th - 20th placers,Honduras (17), China (18), Egypt/Panama (tied at 19) and Brazil/India (tied at 20). I am so sad of Miss Egypt's Exclusion in the top16!! I knew it!! That ugly gown destroyed her chances in the final 16!! If she had a decent gown, she could have been in the top8!!!
(NT) --I want to slapped the makers of Miss Egypt's gown, 10:25:56 10/23/05 Sun

There u go..i think elham is way better than arwa.. arwa is very beautiful but elham has something very attractive about her... her body is much nicer too.. and the girl was well prepared.. but whoever thought he was doing her a good job by choosing that dress was wrong !!

U were very beautiful out there elham..get well soon

[> Subject: I don't think Meriam's dress was better than Elham's. It was just as complicated. A while ago, I suggested a simpler dress with a daring cut (the picture of Jennifer Aniston is somewhere on this message board). But although Elham's dress was avant-garde I don't think that hurt her...after all, did you see Miss DR's dress?! Yikes! And she placed 1st Runner-Up!

[> Subject: I think Paula's point is worth an experiment. A simple, classic, non-ethnic dress gave Arwa that added push. Maybe Face2Face and/or Mr. Spahi should help select a simple, elegant gown for the next Egyptian delegate who is sent to the next pageant. And the dress should not be complicated, should not have ethnic flair and should be elegant. It would be interesting to see what happens. It's worth a shot.

miss brazil didnt get a better result not beocuse of her dress (even it wasnt so great)but becouse of the super tick pair of tighs she got, if she was more thin she would place much better, anyway, im happy to see that elham got a better placement then hers, its fair, i get upset to see brazil sending girls who looks like samba dancers insteaded of a models,im a disappointed brazilian but im happy for elham get better result then hers i didnt agree at all when they chose isabela to miss earth.

[> Subject: I was also under the impression that there was going to be a Top 20. =( I also wanted to know if the 17th -20th place ranks are official or just rumours because no one else seems to have heard anything official as of yet.
