Subject: Viewing Miss earth Message board Author: Sandra [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Sunday, September 25, 02:01:18pm i viewed the message board of miss earth and i was shocked by them attacking Elham that much ,,and i think we owe a big deal of that accusation cause we know a little of our contastant only saw her doing the cat walk in miss egypt , we have updated news of her every once in a while which is really not enough i only saw her talk on television like two or three times , no interviews i think the interview will be on the website soon but it took tooo long for that interview to come , i think we have to know well the one who is now representing egypt in miss earth more ,N.B : Fan man you said Elham speaks Fluently both English And French which i know personaly that is not true and we don't have to be ashamed of our arabic language neither speaking your mother tongue does not make you ignorant or less . just being confident is the thing that makes you different . We are having news updates about her every while, have already interviewed her with lots of surprises to come, and posted her pictures before any other Miss Earth contestant got promoted. She appeared on TV. several times, on "Sahar El-Layaly" on Dream, in "Eshar Maana" on Nile Variety, and last week on the fashion program of Amina Shelbaya on Dream too. About the bashes that she is getting, we knew that most of them are from other Arab fans from Palestine and other countries without a justified reason but jealousy, some other came from former Miss Egypt 2005 contestants. Elham's chances are pretty good and she is not out of any list! she is even one of the Philippeno's favorites to win the crown. The bashes she is getting are completely understandable and actually it motivates her because Miss Earth 2004 got nearly the same kind of bashes last year. About her language, we are 100% that she speaks both English and French. We asked Elham herself and she told us this piece of information, English is her 2nd language and French is her 3rd. We will not lie about such an info. and we will not be ashamed if she doesn't speak English or French. Heba El-Sisi didn't speak English, and still we consider her as one of the best ever winners of Miss Egypt title! [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

[> Subject: While speaking foreign languages in such contests (or any other similar events) is a positive sign, being unable to speak a language rather than the mother tongue is not something shameful. And let us take the Latinos an example. It is not very common for their contestants to speak English or French. They are proud though of themselves and of their native language. On the other side bashful comments on the net should be taken lightly with no big deal. Has not Miss Universe 2005 been criticized in our forum?
