Warning: This fencesitter is on the shippy side for this topic ;-)

In thinking more about when M&S first consummated their relationship and talking with islandgirl and CW about this I have been thinking more and more that all things wasn't the start. I guess it still really bothers me the way Scully seemed kind of matter of fact in the all things bedroom scene and also her leaving in the middle of the night. She acted more like they had fallen into a routine. Like perhaps they agreed to be careful about staying over night too often to keep up appearances.

So when was it? You know I think post Millenium is very likely. I was reading something on my mailing list from someone on another matter and they were saying that thy believed CC never really tries to decieve us with what he shows us onscreen. What's there is there.

Where did they go after they left the hospital? Even though the kiss wasn't the end of the world they did leave together so what are we to infer there?
And right after Millennium we had Rush and The Goldberg Variation which were two eps that had many of us going, "Methinks there's something going on here!" There were a lot of signs. Mulder's overly friendly greeting when Scully shows up on the scene of the case, Scully saying they could make it back to DC by sunset... Even Mulder acknowledging the flirtations of that high school girl in Rush could have been Mulder teasing Scully to see if she could pretend to be jealous (He might have been doing that with Jade Blue in First Person Shooter as well.) Why were we presented with this? Were DD and GA both in a playful mood all of a sudden? Had they split a lotto ticket and won a bundle? What we're given onsceen were two eps which seemed fairly clear that something was 'new'.

Nic, who is from England and posts on these boards saw some of the early Season 7 eps recently and she even said they seemed to be acting "lovey dovey". Although she does know the ending to Requeim she hasn't seen the whole season and also isn't under quite as much heavy influence by the US fans posting earlier his season.

The only thing that throws things off is that the eps I think were filmed out of order because they showed Millennium in November for sweeps. But they sill may have been aware of the order the eps would air and DD and GA could have been told to act accordingly. CC stated recntly that he had the pregnancy planned since the beginning of the season so maybe this has been a slow build up all year to tell us "Surprise! You missed IT! It's been happening right under your noses."

After these eps there's also Orison which ends with Mulder telling Scully they can get out of her apartment now. Where are they going? He appears to be taking her with him somewhere that seems pretty ordinary. It could have been to her mother's but if it was why not just add a line saying so? Could it have just been implied that they would be going to Mulder's? Like having her stay at his place isn't a big deal.

Also by the time of SUZ, her staying over may not be a big deal although I still don't think anything happened that night other than comfort for Mulder's grief. But they could have already become lovers long before this.

In Hollyood AD at the end they also seemed extra comforatable with each other.

And ahem, what was with that comment from Mulder in Signs and Wonders about him knowing a couple of Catholic school girls being snake handlers anyway? Maybe nothing. Now if he'd said ONE Catholic girl....oh well I've rambled on long enough!

Anyone have any other ideas?
