Lose our commonsense, I mean!

We don't really have much to go on, when we think about Scully and men. Because she and Mulder are colleagues and are far from doing reckless things on a day to day basis, we can't know what draws her to men in general. The cases you mentioned aren't even usual cases of 'fancying' (we'd call it fancying!). She is sort of mesmerised and drawn to the men. The men themselves are very charismatic for her - and more to the point, they are showing open interest. She doesn't experience this much. I have a feeling she *could* be 'hiding' this out of control nature, somewhere. It occasionally finds its outlet.

If it wasn't for his mad tattoo, Ed would have been fairly normal, wouldn't he?
