Admittedly, this is a rather minor point, but why the hell was the Mulder family plot in North Carolina?? For that matter, how did William Mulder get down there, as I specifically remember him being buried someplace in New England during the events of "The Blessing Way"?? (Scully and Mulder's Mom met for the first time at the funeral. Mulder wasn't there; he was in New Mexico with the Navajos.)
During the entire first seven seasons, they made it plain that the Mulder family was from New England. Mulder made several references over the years to having grown up in New England, his "official" biography lists him as being born in Massachusetts, etc. Also, both his parents seemed to have been retired for several years before the time of their deaths: if one or both of them considered North Carolina "home", why did they remain in New England when North Carolina would have been no further away (a bit closer, I think, actually) to the city where their only son lived and worked?
