Yes I agree, look at other groups like Pink Floyd,
the Almond Bros Band, and Fleetwood mac, They all had leaders who led the group, and they all respected their mentors to this day. Duane Almond never wrote a song, but was respected as their leader, and for his prowess on lead guitar. Peter Green was in charge of Fleetwood Mac. but after ingesting a lot of L.S.D. in 68, had to be replaced, but is still respected by them today, I think he is still alive.Sid Barrett suffered a similar fate but was carried for a long time because the fans loved him, In Pink Floyd,
He was welcomed at recording sessions, and was referenced in song titles, and record titles, as well.
