Sorry for not making myself clear in my "recognition" comment. Of course Brian was all over the place in mags and in the hearts of his fans. This is indisputable, but I was referring to his masterful musicianship...which was never really "noticed" back in the day, and still is only really noted by other musicians.

I guess he wasn't "showy" enough musically back then??? His lack of smoking fast licks like Keith dished out could probably be the culprit here. He was sure enough "the Cute One"!! LOL! I don't think there was a girl alive who couldn't notice THAT!

As for Keith...well...probably ALL the other Stones who say they "carried" him when he was sick wouldn't be what they are today without Brian believing in them. I think they'd all gotten lucky when they encountered him, and sure enough OWED him enough to "carry" him a long way. Just Saying.
