Goodness, but that's a lot of words you've put in those grieving people's mouths! You could be right that Shirley heard something unexpected at the moment that shot was taken. She does indeed "seem" to be looking at "Tinkerer" in shock, and I would normally agree to that assessment, but since she's wearing sunglasses, it wouldn't hold up in court! I think they call that "circumstancial evidence", and there's resonable doubt it occured just that way without asking Shirley herself. She's still around to ask, so maybe you could schlep out to her farm and inquire? (just kidding...Charley might have you shot!)

Anyway, I don't recall reading that there were any "disturbances" at Brian's funeral. As far as I can gather it was pretty peaceful, dispite the incredible number of people that greeted Bill and Charley when they arrived in the town. I understand they weren't expecting such a crowd...Bill wrote that it tooked like a coronation...and must have felt extremely nervous and vulerable. The absense of Mick and Kieth was glaring, and an insult to the little mucisian whose dream had brought them all fame and fortune.

I'm bummed out that no one can identify the fellow behind Astrid. The more I look at him, the more familiar he gets. He has to be some sort of record company executive, but he makes me think more of the Beatles than the Stones. I feel there should have been more famous people there...like John Lennin, whom Brian worshipped...but the famous crowd appears to have kissed him off. I guess they didn't want to be associated with one of their number who'd fallen so far from grace before his death. I know that was a reactionary statement, and I'm not being fair, but Brian wasn't treated fairly either, espeically by the British media. It's been a long time, and probably most of those media people are long gone, so no harm done...I hope.

PS: Donal Sutherland???? Amazing the names you think up!! ;) (wink)
