Hi George,
I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner. At the time we discussed his feelings, Brian felt very much the victim, robbed of his place in the band he founded. He felt as though he'd lost everything he'd strived for and with that came a real sense of insecurity about his talent and his place in the world, which I think is quite understandable. It takes time to recover one's balance in those situations.

I don't know if Andrew felt that Andrew should be the "Star" of the Rolling Stones, but from what I saw in November 1964 Andrew acted as though he was the Stones. He was one of the most obnoxious people I've ever met. I avoided Andrew, because I don't like pretentious people. Mick seemed to dance to Andrew's tune and together they were an unfortunate combination for Brian to deal with.
