In reply to: Ewan Uropinin 's message, "The Loves of Mr Brian Jones" on 02:17:06 11/16/11 Wed

The much respected but oft mis-quoted Mary Hallet:-

Mrs. Hallett who worked for Brian at Cotchford Farm, finally revealed who Brian said he had
wanted to marry. I read in the book that it was not Anna Wohlin or Suki Poitier. And she
said it wasn't Anita, either. It was Linda Keith, and he said that he had done something really
awful to her and that she would never speak to him again.

I'm reluctant to take much of what is said in books about Brian at face value, but Linda Keith's status as Brian's most loved seems to be gathering pace.

I'm sure he probably loved Ronni Money, but far as I know she didn't want to bed him! And he couldn't marry her because she was married to Zoot. Zoot of course put Hendrix up when he arrived in England and it was Linda Keith who championed Hendrix and Brian was Jimi's great friend, and Brian may or may not have played on Little Wing and Little Wing may or may not have been a song about Linda Keith. And it's all very confusing after a hard day at the races and one just can't put one's finger on the answer.
