Subject: Brian's downfall
In reply to: George 's message, "Re: Why is Brian Demonised?" on 16:30:21 01/17/11 Mon

I have always thought that the drug busts did more to bring Brian down than losing Anita. I think that losing Anita to Keith made it much worse, don't get me wrong. And, as much as I hate to say it, I think he really cared for her. But, I think that the drug busts were really what drove Brian into the state that he was in during late 67 and 68. I think he was genuinely terrified of going to prison. I would have been if I were him too. How awful would that be? And, I think he felt the police were intent on putting him there as an example.
