OK, which season are you on Stardoe? I've seen DW season (or series as UK folks say) 1 and 2. I've just seen 4 episodes of season 3 (Smith and Jones, 42, Human Nature and Family of Blood) which were all good, loved the 2 parter. Our TV will show the 3rd seaon later this month finally so I can take in the whole season and let you know. From what I've seen & heard, it's better than Tennant's first year. Martha has amazingly improved on Rose although the romantic tensions are there once again. The writing seems better, Human Nature/Family of Blood was actually one of those DW novels that came out during the break between shows (1989-2005). It was considered by fans to be the best one, maybe they'll do more as some of those are thought to be among the Doctor's best adventures.

Torchwood is ssadly not on our TV nor is it available on DVD here. Not plans to show it either. DW is not a huge hit so a spinoff is probably thought to be DOA here. I did get to see the pilot of Sarah Jane Adventures which I thought was OK. The usual alien invasion plot with Sarah filling in for the Doctor. Where did she get all those gadgets? Is she criticizing UNIT's methods? Wonder if she'd meet them or Torchwood in later episodes. Her supporting cast seems good except that black girl, I could not understand one word she said. I have a bit of trouble with Rose too. Thank God DVDs have subtitles so I can keep up.

That's another problem with recent British shows sent here, that stoped the old speak plainly way & went with real accents that Americans are not going to understand. I can get the gist of what's going on but I'm willing to put in the effort that most won't. I know other countries have to put up with US shows that have southern accents or New York street accents, etc. The TV powers that be want clarity at all times or they think no one will watch.

I'm hoping to see some Torchwood but when I see my friend with the connections, we don't have much time & I want to see DW first.
