All I learned was that the button does indeed mean something and Desmond somehow caused the plane crash.
Beyond that we just have more and more questions.

Why was Hurley allowed to leave? I would think he would be of particular importance because of his lottery connection to the numbers. What's so special about Jack, Sawyerand Kate? How do they know Sawyer's real name?

I was wondering maybe if it wasn't some of The Others that were in the Pearl hatch as observers. Were they observing the plane passengers well before the crash so that's how they know about them?

Why would they let Walt go when he seemed so valuable to them and has mysterious powers. Why did they take the other children from the tail section? What was Walt going to reveal about The Others?

BDM, you said you knew the young dark haired woman was French Lady's daughter. How do you know that?

And most important of all. How can Walt want to just leave without getting Vincent?!!!

I hope Desmond is on again next year too. He was also on 24 this season.
