so, putting the bird in reverse, a thunk and trans fluid pouring out below. after checking, it appears the bolts linking the tranny and (remanufactured) engine block were basically pulled/stripped out of the block. Intention is to tap out 7/16 hole and new bolts...but do not see any visible means of support for the trans, other than the bolts at the front and the u-joint and differential at the rear. Is there a solution that's missing? should there not be some sort of tranny mount or support somewhere? this is the 3208 w Allison 4 spd. , 78 fc. thanks, Tom

forgot - researched where I could run the same size bolt(3/8) but go with a 3"long, to grab another 1/2 inch of thread...or helicoil???any experience to pass on??thanks, Tom
