We purchased a 1980 Blue Bird Wanderlodge approximately 6 months ago. She had sat for approximately a year and we have fixed what we think is everything. But... The generator is not charging its own battery. Also os there a switch that would let the Generator Battery start the motor and let the Motor battery start the generator? Is there something we have overlooked? Also, When we run all three roof generators and the NEW FRIDGE, iÿ

I also have a 1980 and have had some service work done on my generator. The Kohler service rep told me that the charging circuitry built in is known to "go bad" on the older ones and that he recommends wiring in a small external charger. He installed a small external charger on mine which isn't much larger than a pack of cigerettes for $60 and I haven't had a problem since.
