Rom 1:1-7
1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God--
2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures
3 regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David,
4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
5 Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
6 And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

It's a much different score when we read the Bible in context. This particular Book of the Bible is addressed to those who are ALREADY SAVED then you get a better idea of the context running into chapter 5 for those that HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH.

Rom 5:1-2
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. (NIV)

Even though Universalists like to interpret Romans 5:15 to give support to their view, a couple of verse down brings clarification

Rom 5:15
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! (NIV)

Rom 5:17
17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will ,those who receive God's abundant. provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. (NIV)

Make sure you are one of those.
