Definitely should not announce people’s choice. Felt bad for CH (NT) | No name | 06:26:29 06/29/25 Sun |

Agree on all points. The only way this will change is if contestants start going elsewhere instead of returning year after year for this nonsense. (NT) | No name | 06:45:16 06/29/25 Sun |

Interview matters! If your group is weak you. A win a prelim award but not outscore girls that are stronger in another group. I think Kelstrom will be fine this year. Miss America likes the glitz and glam so they need to step up the wardrobe. (NT) | No name | 07:54:54 06/29/25 Sun |

True. I especially agree with Cleveland’s Teen. At worst she should have been top 5. I hope she comes back. (NT) | No name | 08:26:34 06/29/25 Sun |

Mary Micheal not in top 5 was robbery. She was top 3 across every event (NT) | No name | 08:53:00 06/29/25 Sun |

What blows me away is all of the girls who have NO chance thinking they have a chance. I could name several who compete year after year, more and more money invested, never crack the top 10 but keep thinking they are going to win. I guess with this crazy judging it’s anyone’s game but honey if you have competed 3 and 4 years and haven’t seen the top 10, take your money somewhere else. You are feeding an org that does not care one bit about you. (NT) | No name | 08:55:19 06/29/25 Sun |

1 of 2 - While I don’t believe the original comment was intended to be hateful, it does open the door to a much larger and necessary conversation. The reality is this year’s results felt predetermined. Kate Ward and Kellstrom with Hannah hot on her heels were destined to all win this year regardless of their committees. Did either committee really do anything spectacular for either girl? What stood out most to me was how much emphasis is now being placed on interviews and perhaps even more glaringly, on fitness. It feels like we've shifted into a space where “super skinny” or six-pack abs are now prerequisites for a competitive score in that category. Meanwhile young women with more average or curvy figures are not being scored as favorably and that’s a problem. (NT) | No name | 09:10:01 06/29/25 Sun |

2 of 2 At this point it feels like we’ve circled back to the swimsuit era in a different costume. Overall the finals were incredibly disappointing and I say that as an innocent bystander with no dog in the fight. I think Sophia is lovely though her dress is not "Miss America Ready" she just looks insanely skinny in it and Kate Ward is simply just a mean girl in a pretty package that can speak well. Opening others’ dress bags, joking about not eating for five days with her mother aware, and mocking competitor talents from the wings is deeply concerning. This isn’t meant to stir drama only to spark reflection. If we're going to claim empowerment, inclusivity, and integrity in this system, then we need to be willing to take a hard look at the way things are unfolding and who we’re rewarding. The most heavily weighted component in the evaluation process is the private interview segment, which remains inaccessible to external observation. Prior to offering commentary, it is imperative to thoroughly comprehend the scoring methodology of this system. (NT) | No name | 09:32:27 06/29/25 Sun |

The teen room was in general very upset last night. I was a teen delegate and can say a lot of us felt cheated. Everyone knew Kate would win but I guess we were hoping for a fair shot. It is my 3rd year competing. Every year I win a small scholarship but never get top 10. I do everything I’m supposed to do. I am a size 6 though and now I realize I need to lose a lot of weight to be competitive. Next year I move into Miss. I want to compete but feel like what is the point. Everyone was saying the board brought Kate in to win and she was hand picked. It definitely seems like that. I had a great interview and was strong in every event. I’ve been here for 3 years but no one on the board knows who I am. (NT) | No name | 11:51:32 06/29/25 Sun |

Absolutely agree that top 5 was stacked with those who were not strong enough to beat the one they wanted. I agree Sophia will make a great Miss NC. The issue is that we should be striving for a Miss America. Isn't that the ultimate goal? All of the candidates made comments that interviews were so simple, no tough questions which indicates NC doesn't want a smart woman who could potentially help put Miss NC as a standout at Miss A. Taylor stood out now we should strive to do that again. Last night there were a few girls that could have done just that but were left out of the top 5 for a reason. NC please do BETTER!! Loosing faith in this system. (NT) | No name | 16:53:47 06/29/25 Sun |

I think most of you have forgotten that there is a private interview that you know nothing about! It is won and lost in that room! And every single person that made finals interviews very well. Just being beautiful isn’t enough. Just being talented isn’t enough. Just being fit isn’t enough. If you don’t grab them on interview day, you can kiss finals goodbye! Too many of these girls put too much energy into their stage competitions and fail to put in the work where it really counts for their interview. With that said, I do believe that the most consistent girls with the strongest interviews rose to the top! As they should! That’s one thing they don’t have time to fix between now and Miss America! A dress can be changed in a day. Interview and talent…no real time for drastic changes! (NT) | No name | 06:56:56 06/30/25 Mon |

Carrie Everett's winning evening gown last year was $199. Sophia's pink gown was plain and had a zipper everyone could see from the balcony yet the judges who are 10 feet away didn't care about. Contestants need to learn that spending thousands of dollars at a gown store doesn't translate to success. It's about you, not the gown. (NT) | No name | 08:02:36 06/30/25 Mon |
