Subject: hey nurse

maybe you can help me out here. i've been considering the lasik thing for awhile and about made an appointment with a butcher in ft. wayne until i heard some horror stories. thankfully i didn't because i have heard even more since then.

a guy i worked with went to some dude and swore by him, but i'm not taking the good word of one soul. how could i go about doing the research to get some honest testimonials? is there some sort of dr. recommendation site i could visit? i have an appointment with my regular eye doctor back in greenville....maybe...and was going to ask him, but i didn't know how limited doctors were in making referrals and giving out professional opinions with fear of lawsuits and etc.

i want a good, solid reputation, but i obviously can't afford the high end doctors either. is there a happy medium? any assistance you can provide?
