I have just taken delivery of this machine for use in a professional digital edit suite (Adobe / Mac) hence firewire is very important. (I am a freelance TV producer) I only ordered the machine after I was informed by JVC technical support that there is definitely a software upgrade now available which will enable the output. This is (or will be within two weeks) available through your JVC dealer..... So everyone who wants this feature now has to apply MAXIMUM pressure to the dealers to get this upgrade disk in stock PDQ and available to all of us users.....

Good luck - If we keep nagging them then I think that it will happen.
