Gosh. I am drunk so please forgive me. I should have waited until later to respond.

"One world culture could be extremely diverse." Okay, granted, the statement is obscure to say the least. But I think that the rest of what I said should have cleared all that up. But you always seem to pick and choose what to respond to in my posts, and spin them ( that's okay, I do the same thing. And I do this parenthetical thing too much.)

If you need a culture, whatever we mean by that term, to relate to another person, or identify ourselves and determine what we think, especially when any world-view is available to us at this point in time, then we are really doing neither. We are neither relating to one another, nor are we gaining any real self-knowledge. Yes, I do believe that the world is that small. Any redneck in Po-dunk, USA can pich up a copy of David Hume's "Dialogues on Natural Religion" and use his own reason to become an sceptic. It doesn't matter if his parents are bible thumping fundamentalists and all that he is exposed to is a bunch of supernatural madness. The guy can read the book, and, given that he has an average I.Q., he can understand it and decide that he is a sceptic. And thenhe could go even futher and decide that he was a straight up atheist. Whatever. Reverse the scenario. Whatever works for you. Say that a young Chinese boy from a Buddhist family finds a copy of the Bible and finds Jesus.

You say America is not a melting pot. You say that these cultures manage to sustain their "purity" (for lack of a better term) even as they exist under one entity, the United States. Well, I guess they might be able to do the same thing under one world community as well. The thing is, they wouldn't have to be divided by this culture, because they would realize that, even though they eat different foods or worship different gods or have different color skin - they still were connected by their common human reason. I know I have taken a different stance now (as the Bush adminstration has been known to do over and over [we have proof that they have weapons of mass destruction - we know they have the capability to produce weapons of mass destruction - we know they have mobile chemical weapons labs - well, on second thought, maybe not - we are sure that we will find something one of these days - weapons of mass destruction? This was all about freeing Iraq from it's cruel dictator, Saddam Husein, the guy that tried to kill my daddy - fuck it, who cares? You don't like it, you must hate America.]{parenthetical shit again. I told you I was drunk}) but I just thought I would come off the religion stuff because you wouldn't listen to me otherwise. You know, on second thought, nevermind; all that religious stuff is crap. I'm sorry, I have to be honest. A bunch of mumbo jumbo. That's why you came down so hard on me when I said that a cult was really just a little tiny religion that hadn't really caught on yet but just might. You like to think that Heaven's Gate was just silly. Aliens! What a bunch of crap! Well how about your Bible, man? Is that a work of freaking non-fiction? Have you ever read revalations? What a bunch of %!@%$#*$%! Really. There is no difference at all between Christianity and any other little crappy cult out there except for the size of its congregation. NONE!

Okay, got a little off topic there. What the hell was I talking about? Oh yeah, maybe I was wrong; maybe these culters could co-exist in a world-wide community. That way we could still have just as many TV shows (if that's what you really frigging care about - I doubt any of the world's millions of starving people really give a rat's @@@) and we could all still eat Chinese food, and whatever the hell else.

"Would I dare to demand Black America deny it's heritage to assimilate?" Assimilate to what? You see, once again, you have not responded to my point. Not at all. So I don't know how to argue with you. What is is to which Black America needs to assimilate? White America? Is that American culture? White America? You said it, not me. I think Black people have just as much claim to the nation's collective culture as non-blacks. How about Native Americans? I bet you wouldn't dare to deny their heritage either. You wouldn't expect them to assimilate would you? Come on dude. ASSIMILATE TO WHAT? Think about it. I asked you what American culture was. Do you have a response? What is it to which "Black America!?!?!" should or should not feel pressured to assimiliate?

Now I realize that I am being overly antagonistic and am in fear of not communicating once again so I feel the need to remind you that I have been drinking. In fact, I will be surprised if you have made it this far.

The move on documentary: The power behind this documentary is the sheer number of long-time CIA analysts, foreign affairs experts, CIA operatives, and all kinds of other experts that were interviewed. It doesn't matter who funded it. it is not propaganda. These people couldn't wait to tell their side of the story. it just took an organization like moveon to make it possible. Believe me, no one affiliated with moveon was interviewed in this film. There is no distortion, just adamant testimony from incredulous experts that know that the administration is lying. WATCH IT. What do you have to lose? You are shrewd enoug to know propaganda when you see it. And then you can tell stupid ol' liberal me all the things that are incorrect or misleading.
