I saw the above article on Yahoo Autos and it reminded of Shae Kirkendall and her modified car (Ford Taurus?).

The five cars listed were the Cadillac XTS, Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Azera, Mercedes S Class and Kia Optima. They averaged from 47 down to 46.7 inches. The numbers were an average of headroom (40), legroom (45) and hiproom (55) added together and divided by three.

Maybe Shae is driving one of these cars nowadays.

A tall man(over 7') that I knew around 25 years ago at least joked about getting a VW Beetle and removing the front seat.

I'm not sure he ever did that though.

I forget which sports celebrity appeared in the commercial I'm remembering but I remember one where the lead was asked why they bought a VW station wagon? And he answered "Becasue Mercedes doesn't make a station wagon".

That may have been the same commercial as you saw, Wes.

And 4-5 months later I saw a diesel station wagon (the 300TD in the Mercedes showroom.

I saw this article on Yahoo Autos about the 2013 best cars for short drivers. They have low belt lines - border between car's metal body and its windows and big greenhouses - glass area above frame and below roof. The five cars listed in the article were Kia Soul, Mazda 3, VW Passat, Subaru Forester and Honda Accord. Maybe Dave Patterson's accountant, Aaron Teitlebaum, who Dave thought was just over four feet tall and Myleigh Harris and Nanci Chladek who were about five feet tall should check out those cars.
