I don't know what it is with these CC eps (namely Ghost and PMP in the past) that I always have to watch them twice to take them all in. It really does need to be watched a second time! Mr. Burt was God. I wasn't really aware of that at first but later I remembered that BR was interviewed about this ep and hinted at that. And with finding out the tagline means 'God Loves You' it fits. He told the killer he loved him. Watching it a second time knowing who Mr. Burt was made it much more enjoyable and clearer for me. He was hoping against hope that the killer would become a winner instead of a loser.

I loved the French and Italian music. No Latin, I don't think. They were just lip syncing to old recordings and that's how some of that stuff sounds (I listen to a lot of weird old stuff like that!). And I think God just loves music. No deeper explanation than that. I was wondering where the heck this was set. I was thinking Little Italy too. Was the Casino in Atlantic City? it was almost more of a mythical place though where Burt hung out. In fact it looked like an obvious movie set and maybe it was supposed to. There were a lot of things I missed the first time like Scully shooting the lock off. I was doing something in the kitchen and not paying close enough attention.

I agree GA was funny and she's much better at comedy that AG. DD's been a good influence on her. ;-)

Did everyone catch the Fox lead in with GA falling off her box and RP and AG cracking up? I wonder if that was staged or an accident?

I wondered how Doggett got in too but I guess he got in touch with the building's super and was let in.

There was a Hitchhikers reference in this? Where?

I absolutely loved Scully patting Will in time to the music while the vocal sang, "I Love You." So sweet. I'm trying to think if there might be more of a Will/myth connection since it was CC's ep.

Yeah the FBI being totally against using numbers to solve a case didn't fit. I know the police will use psychics and I think they are open to anything no matter how unorthodox if it helps them.

CC wrote and directed this one Rab. Every once in awhile he hits the mark, huh? :-D
Rab you seem to know something about numerology. Would Scully really be a 9? Because that would be quite a coincidence with the Season 9 tie in and what Reyes said a 9 was. Maybe CC discovered that and that's what got him started on the episode in the first place.

One thing...why didn't Scully lead the killer out of the elevator instead of getting out and leaving him alone in there so he could escape? Any of you Scullyists want to defend her on that? :-D
