...I do agree that there was too much Doggett and Reyes in this and that once again the writers were heavy-handed in their "It's NOT the Mulder and Scully show" approach...especially when the death notice on the wall kind of says that it IS. I, too, loved the flashback at the beginning...because it assured me that DD is back on the payroll for one thing...there he was with the LGM. And I felt that the reference back to Joey Ramone to the birth of little William was interesting too.

But I was SHOCKED that they chose this episode to work without SCULLY. I mean...it's SCULLY...she should have been there for the final moments. But, at least, Doggett and Reyes weren't there...still...that begs the question WHY NOT...you would think that as soon as they figured out where this guy was they would have phoned the F.B.I.

Maybe that was a statement about how much Reyes and Doggett aren't M/S...and I noticed that they did point out how R/D were not a part of the entire backstory of the show...because they had no reaction to Morris Fletcher at all...and when they stood at the door someone says "What are THEY doing here" like they aren't really that welcome. I felt the fish out of water thing off of JD and MR a lot more in this episode than in the last two. They seemed flat next to the LGM...and I couldn't help thinking if Mulder and Scully were there...they would have managed to rescue the guys.

Rabid/Raeann
sharing your pessimistic feelings about the Season Finale...but then again...I have always felt that way...
