Subject: The pageant is actually new to Canada though it is celebrating its 5th year in the US, and this is the first year it has gone International. There was an Open Casting Call for the inaugural queens, and received contestants in every category except Woman which is why she filled in. Stop bashing a pageant before it even gets a chance to start Chris and about something you clearly don't even know anything about.... Not cool.

This post was just brought to my attention, and I would to add my personal experience so far with this pageant: there is nothing fishy about it nor bad about this pageant. It is for real, and Canadian National Director, Jacenta, is a wonderful woman who only wants to give outstanding young ladies the opportunity to shine. My daughter is one of the reigning titleholders and I thoroughly researched this pageant along with a few more interested future delegates. I too had questions, a very long list of questions, however, they were all answered and addressed properly and promptly. Even when I asked for further clarification, she was more than happy to answer. If you research America's Perfect Pageant, you will read about the international competition which not only involves candidates from the US, but from Europe and other countries as well. It has only recently been brought to Canada through Jacenta, and she has just put together a beautiful, strong Canadian team which she is very proud of. Every pageant has to start somewhere and somehow. These 6 young ladies that were "just crowned winners" are excited to compete in the International competition in Orlando in August - US National Director and International Director is Michael Galanes. After the International Competition, the National Competition will follow in Toronto, to crown the next group of young ladies who will compete next year in Orlando. The new title holders will have a full year to enjoy their reign and title. To say it has "bad written all over it" when there is absolutely no justification is unfair. As parents, we are all proud of daughters for being involved in Canada's Perfect Pageant, and have had a wonderful experience thus far with it, including continuous interaction with the director. If you look at the Queens page, and know something about pageants, a few faces and names will stand out. Also, on the Canada's Perfect Group page, there are several well-known present and past Canadian Title Holders from several pageants who support this pageant and Jacenta, as the Director. Even though pageants are competitive, they are also designed for building confidence, showcasing talent, building a platform and let's not forget making new friends, having fun and the scholarship prizes which are motivational. There's an email address provided in the above post so send an email. If you email it and request a name or phone number, or provide Jacenta with yours, she will call you back. She has been straight forward and honest with me right from the beginning!

I'm not going to get into a online war with you on here. I'm just saying it is not a pageant I would enter. And at least one other poster has agreed with me. The website shows no name of the director/ thier qualifications. The 'winners' last year payed for thier crowns which is not clear on the website. I understand this is a new pageant to canada, but having run 5 years in the USA it should be run well enough to not be as I am saying 'fishy'.Chris20:51:20 07/18/12 Wed
