I can understand the amount of dissapointment coming from a lot of people. If it was stated that six semifinalists were supposed to be reserved for the category award winners then that's what should have happened! I think there will be a bit of false hope for the girls who apply next year. Why join a pageant that doesnt even follow their own standards? Subject Author Date I agree with Christi. This is absolutely unacceptable. This contestant deserves a full refund, and Miss World Canada Org would do well to issue a public apology as soon as possible and offer her 100 per cent of her entry fee back. This is certainly an issue that could plague them for years to come. It may be worth it to offer her a free opportunity to compete in next year's pageant, as well.
