Subject: When it is was down to the final 2, Sahar and Samantha were my final 2 choices as well. Both were clearly the stand out delegates that night in my opinion, they rocked the pageant. Did their previous experience give them an advantage, probably yes. But I wasn't influenced by the candidates association with BOC or with Denis or whether she resided in Toronto. On that evening at 10:28 pm Samantha was selected as the representative of MUC for 2008. And I am very happy for her.

I agree with this logic....BUT I do remember when Natalie competed her first year, she was also a favorite to win..but Venessa won. With that said, I think Natalie wanted to win, because what's the point of going into a pageant again, and making the same type of impact. If I were to make it to the top 10, and end up 4th runner up that year....the next year, if I compete, I'm going to want to win the title. So I would do anything in my control to improve my chance of winning....certain examples: Cynthia Olavarria, Miss Puerto Rico 2005; Crystle Stewart, Miss USA 2008; Natalie Glebova, Miss Canada 2005; Samantha Tajik, Miss Canada 2008 etc. If there are certain girls that seem to be favored....I would have to up my game to be noticed. Because if I lose my train of focus just because of favored attention to other girls...what's the point of competing. The minute I get to a competition, it's because I deserve to be there just like every other girl there. (NT)Desiree15:42:25 05/05/08 Mon
