Subject: I apologize I am being so critical, but I'm just being honest. I always supported our representatives and no matter who won since 2003 I have always felt and believed our girl would do well at Miss Universe.. But in 2007 and 2008 I was like OH NOOOO when I saw our winners...And I feel terrible for saying that, but I really didn't believe they stood a chance. If I felt our delegates were strong and good choices, I would still commend them for doing well. I was shocked Puerto Rico in 2008 didn't make it and Venezuela in 2004, and a few others here and there.. It does happen, I know! But Inga & Sam I was NOT in the slightest bit shocked. I actually would have been shocked if they DID happen to place.

In reply to: Linda 's message, "I think Vanessa was beautiful and a great choice.. she was just young and not well prepared. They were on the right track though because Shandi Finnessay & Jen Hawkins had similar looks! Shandi looked like Vanessa's older sister! That was a tough year, many beautiful girls, I think Vanessa was just too young and not experienced enough. Had she been sent to a bunch of pageant before-hand like Samantha or Alice, I think she could have done better. I think that's why I am so harsh on the latest winners because they have had TONS of experience, Sam was sent to like 4 other international pageants! She had almost every work done possible! I just expect more from beauties of canada because they have the resources! Do I think in 2007 and 2008 there were OTHER girls that could have placed in top 15 at Miss Universe YES I DO!!! I just don't feel Inga & Sam were the best choices.. I think they were picked based on a certain "criteria" BOC wants.. And they were WRONG!" on 13:24:57 07/25/08 Fri

I'm just a HUGE fan I love rooting for our girls, it gets me so excited to see Canada do well.. Natalie & Alice I was on the edge of my seat watching! Inga & Sam I knew wouldn't make the semis. I am pretty crazy fanatic I must say! I wager online and win myself money every year (sure I've lost in the past) but I won this year with Dayana! It's like a sport to me, I enjoy it ! I would not have bet any money on Canada in the last two years. And the betting odds agree, they're odds were terrible. (NT)Linda13:34:45 07/25/08 Fri
