 Found this on another mud, and since I have seen this happen over and over again, I am posting it.

* Please don't confuse OOC with IC. If another PC likes or dislikes yours, don't assume the player does too.

-READ THIS ONE CAREFULLY--
* Never, ever steal or do something bad to someone who is AFK, LD, or otherwise not actively online.

* If you're going to be off the game for more than a few minutes, consider quitting out, so nobody gets confused and tries to RP with your LD body.
* Work around RL. Don't hold RL against anybody else. If someone has to go, RP around it. If your phone rings or your air conditioner explodes or your cat barfs on your keyboard, rest assured that your hasty retreat and your plea of "gotta go! RL calls!" will be heard and respected.
* Most people think OOC is a dreadful intrusion. For politeness' sake, use it as seldom as possible, and never around people who don't NEED to hear it.
