Subject: Doldrums.

Highlights stood still in a caesura of both the mind and body while the sultry arms of the vast, cloudless sky strangled her in an oppressive embrace. This place forced contact and was ostensibly lacking in intellect. Why, oh why, had she become a Light?

Her keen, intense gaze narrowed as she tried to view her current location through the eyes of someone who actually enjoyed it. She was suddenly aware how the crests of the stalwart white-capped waves shone brilliantly in the hot light of the sun, and how the sand by the shore was smoother than satin. Had she been wrong, or was this an illusion? Was this nothing more than the delusions of a brain stimulated by heatstroke and fatigue?
