Exhausted, and feeling every second of her advancing years, the golden palomino mare traipsed back across the boundary of the land she had called home for so long. The pregnancy-swollen mare had news, a mixed blessing sort of news, but something she felt that a few others needed to know. Loosing a loud, trumpeting call, Tori waited for Euphoria and Zackari, as well as any others who cared to listen, to gather before she made her announcement. Her voice, normally so light and happy, had gone flat and nearly monotone.

"I will be leaving Sun-Kissed Beach for a while and I don't know when I will return. I have offered myself as captive to Adrian in exchange for a time of peace in the Lights. While I am in captivity, the Rebels are not to initiate a physical attack against the lights. If Rebels show up and are hostile, alert me immediately."

Demanding, but necessary. As agreed upon, if the Rebels made any hostile move against the Lights, Tori was free.

"Adrian will allow me visitors, only two at a time. Others will be detained so don't journey over en masse. Any hostility to the Rebels while you are in Dark Evergreens will result in serious repercussions against me. So please refrain from attacking any Rebel on sight."

Shifting from one leg to the other, the rounded mare quickly concluded, not wanting to drag it out longer than she had to.

"For more in-depth details, see Daughter of Time. She was present and can relate the events in a more leisurely manner that I can. I have two days to say goodbye and report to Dark Evergreens."

Falling silent, Tori looked over those gathered, hating to leave her friends but knowing that she had to do what she felt was best.
