Lallypoppers!
I've been picking up random Books, opening them, and closing my eyes and pointing. That's how this week is rolling. I have to giggle a bit because every time (except the Begats) the quote has been good. It's Magic, I tell ya!

I'm not going to write much tonight. I have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow and I need to get to bed. I love Satchel Page.

Oh, one thing. David and I have been thinking and being concerned about Helka. David messaged her today and she messeged back saying she's doing fine.

"Get up, you rutting bastard." The barrel moved sharply, jarring against Jamie's temple. Very slowly, he rose to his feet. A drop of blood began to well from the graze, dark against his white face.

There were two of them; Redcoat deserters from the look of their ragtag remnants of uniform. Both were armed with muskets and pistols, and looked very much amused by what chance had delivered into their hands. Jamie stood with his hands raised, the barrel of a musket pressed against his chest, face carefully expressionless.

[> This was so awful and a scene that they absolutely captured on camera. Catriona’s portrayal made it even worse, if possible. You have an Lallyfinger Betsy! It’s picking out well known and well loved passages. -- Kathy in PA, Tue, March 01 2022, 5:33:02

[> [> It's not easy to kill someone. It isn't like the movies. It's not neat and tidy and people often don't die and they fight back. Watching Claire in the Films struggle to hit the right spot was horrid. I wonder if her years of nursing helped with the anatomy of the deserter and knowing where to stick the knife. Her years of seeing soldiers die may have helped with the shock of death. I know Dougal's men taught her what to do, but reality is very different than practice. -- Betsy BFS, Tue, March 01 2022, 23:00:22
