So I read a point yesterday that sobered me. One reason I am pro-legalisation (or at least decriminalisation) is that Vancouver is plagued by drug problems, not the least of which is marijuana grow-ops. The primary destination for this pot is the US. An editorial in the Globe and Mail rightly points out that decriminalising and regulating pot isn't going to stop this black market trade, and probably not stop the hydroponic, potent marijuana from being distributed.

So, the only answer is for the US to decriminalise pot, too.
