Good thought, but I don't think anyone would go there. They wouldn't be able to sell the office space. It wouldn't be a profitable project, no matter how much I like the sybolism of rebuiling -- like shooting a giant finger at the terrorists.

It sounds almost sacriligous to say it, but I agree with Raisinmom, the towers were ugly. I like the idea of the keeping the lights on. I think they need to combine memorial space with some new development. Definitely no building on the footprints.
