Subject: Shoot first, ask questions later

It is pathetic that the U.S. government feels that it is necessary to give a response, such as the attack in afghanistan immediately following 9/11, before actually thinking through the best way to achieve a long term goal. Furthermore, what is the long term goal of the War on terrorism? obviously to destroy terrorist groups...but is this even possible? Bush keeps saying "we will get bin laden and his cold blooded soldiers of death". Uh, first of all, as far as I know, we have no idea where bin laden is, we have no idea how to stop terrorism in airports efficiently and protect the American people, and we have no idea what the Al Qaeda network will do next. The US government can only try to make its mass group of ignoramuses to think it is doing something helpful to taking out terrorism, like the whole dirty bomb "crisis". We release a BREAKING NEWS bulletin on CNN about how this maker of the dirty bomb was stopped bla bla bla, even though the event happened a month before hand.
Back to the original theme shoot first, ask questions later, short term happiness is satisfaction. Bush just wants re-election, as did Johnson in Vietnam. The long term effects of any military action is inconsequetial to Bush because his term is ending in about 2 years.
