Hi Darian..I know the yanks outnumber us on here but I wanted to tell you how much the "902" is going to miss you. Someone from California mentioned in an earlier thread how amazing it is the way a radio station affects you. I never thought that was true until I heard you. As I told you before my wife and I first learned of you when you were with Sweet Dougie D on The Peak. We listened via Starchoice every morning and laughed so much and so often. It wasn't just all the interesting stars and crazy people you interviewed, although that was great too. My wife especially enjoyed your chat with Matt the "gross out guy" and Joe Rogan from Fear Factor. Matt asked you if you'd do the celebrity edition and you said sure as long as Joe was waiting naked at the bottom of the vat of whatever maggots or animal testicles you had to chow through to find him. He agreed but I've yet to see that show. Something to look forward to I guess.

I know I'm going on and on but I really wanted our friends south of the border to see that there are some people up here who are just as touched by you and some who are just touched lol. The reason I started listening and kept listening is you. You're so much fun. You make the simplest things seem so exciting and laugh at yourself as much as anyone else. I always felt like I was part of your show and no other radio people have ever made me feel that way. I listen to Q because of the music but I couldn't tell you a single funny thing that anyone has said since you left. BJ and the crew seem to be talking to hear themselves not to entertain us and that's annoying. And that's not just Canada. Those assholes that they replaced you with on the Buzzard are awful too. You asked questions or made comments to people all the time that most of us would never have the nerve to. So many times you said exactly what I was thinking.

I don't understand why the Q put you on a such a stupid shift when they have such boring crap the rest of the day and I don't want to say bye because I know the Gods of humour will place you in my path again soon. But I will miss you and I will especially miss that strange connection with you I felt whenever I tuned in. Someone said losing you was like losing a friend and it's true. My wife and I would often talk about you during the day, laughing over something outrageous that you had said or done and it was as if we were talking about someone we hung out with. That's a really unique gift and even though this province maybe even this country is not big enough to contain all the talent you have to offer, I know you will always be a Haligonian at heart. You are the perfect ambassador.

On that note I wish you huge congratulations on your new show and nothing but best wishes for your bright future. I can't wait to see where you are ten years from now. Perhaps you'll be America's first Canadian president. LOL. Good luck Darian!

Much love and fond wishes,
Shawn and Mary Lynn Cunningham
