After 25 years I can confirm that all 500 like to drop there bow's given the opertunity. Use you spinicker pole with a wood pad on the end attached to the pulpit, like a leg, this works as the initial load to stop the drop is minimal. If you worried borrow a scaffold pole from a friendly builder.
